Hello, my name is Rhiannon Tibbetts and I am an author who has written and published ten books in the last five years. I actually belong to several diverse social groups. I am a member of these communities:the progressive Christian Church, my transgender brothers and sisters, the LGBTQ family, the general mental health alliance, the financially destitute, the writing community, University of Wisconsin Alumni, these neighborhood friends and I’m citizen of the World.
Tonight, I’m making an even firmer pledge to protect and promote the well-being of all of these communities. I will endeavor to do this through: letter writing, phone calls, social media, face to face, writing books, volunteering in the community and participating in Church endeavors. I am motivated by love and compassion for this struggling World that we live in.
I hope that other kindred spirits feel moved to redouble their own similar efforts, as well. I pray that peaceful, common ground can be found on our pressing issues in order to preserve our planet and to fight poverty, end racism, stop LGBTQ discrimination, feed the hungry, take care of the sick properly, bring economic justice, eradicate disease, stop animal cruelty, stand up for the sanctity of all human life and end our epidemic of war and civil violence. I believe in nonviolent civil actions to raise awareness and also a fair democratic process to promote positive change. The pen is mightier than the sword. Please join me?!?
