Expounding upon “A Horse with No Name”

I think that if I was going to write a doctoral thesis for a music theory degree, I would take a crack at expounding upon “A Horse with No Name”.  In my paper you would find lots of unclear allusions to metaphors too deep to fully explain, a bit of apparently lovely imagery from one of my recent bad dreams and some other mind-blowing folderol thrown in just for good measure.  (But, I probably couldn’t do it justice.)
